FTP Capability
ScribeManager now contains powerful new ftp features, enabling users to add files to their ScribeManager account by ftp. This can be done manually using a desktop ftp client, or automatically by mirroring another ftp server. It enables recordings produced by large entities such as hospitals or telephony companies to be automatically added to ScribeManager. Transcripts can also be returned by ftp. For full details, see the administrators manual, pages 45 to 52 inclusive. Download it here: http://www.scribemanager.com/manuals.html

Playing of files online
A file player has been embedded into the Jobs List page of ScribeManager, enabling the instant playing of files (mp3 format only) without downloading. The player will usually play the smallest file available, whether the original or the converted file.
Mp3 files above 100 MB in size are not playable because of the amount of bandwidth this uses.
